Distinct Saudi participation during
GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK

GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK builds upon the global interest in the Middle East's ICT landscape by presenting a power-packed week of dedicated trade events, which includes GITEX Business Solutions, GULFCOMMS and Consumer Electronics.

Focusing on the region's fastest growing sectors - IT business solutions, telecommunications and consumer electronics - these three distinct, yet closely related events deliver focused forums for key buyers and decision-makers from across the region. Each of the events will provide a targeted industry platform to meet and do business whilst also offering professionals a one-stop shop for the ICT market.

Managers of IT companies in Saudi Arabia said they are keen to be present in GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK for different reasons.

Vice President of Oracle Middle East AND Africa in Saudi Arabia Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Thehaiban said: "What is unique about our participation in GITEX this year is that we are intending to introduce for the first time all the big companies we have recently owned such as Hyberian, Seable, and People Soft," "We will also exhibit new products recently launched by Oracle, ".

As for the preparations of Oracle to provide solutions that suit the needs of smart cities in Saudi Arabia, Al-Thehaiban pointed out that a work team has been formed to deal with this issue. "We will transfer our outside experience and success to the Saudi officials in charge of smart cities in the Kingdom", he said.

Al Rammah International Group, which was active in the Saudi market for more than 25 years and entered the IT sector 3 years ago, is well prepared for active participation in GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK. Mr. Sheikh Nazir Ahmed, NetGear Distribution Manager of Al-Rammah Saudi Arabia said: we will launch during GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK Modem MBM621H. This product is similar to NetGear DB111 except that instead of DSL WAN (Wired), it is SDPA WAN (Wireless). The uniqueness of this product is that no data card needed , only SIM Card required .The MBM621H supports standards-Based Wireless Networks around the world. This is all-in-one Unit. So just plug into power and the modem will connect to your mobile operator's high speed wireless network

BDL, a pioneering company in the field of IT distribution in the Middle East, has

shown steady progress since its onset in Saudi Arabia nine years ago. The company has announced it will open a new branch in the UAE to coincide with the opening of GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK activities. The branch will be added to the chain of BDL offices in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. "BDL will be present in the Free Area in Jabal Ali, in addition to its presence in the local market in Dubai", BDL General Manager Tamir Ismail said. "The new branch will work in its full effort in distributing all trade marks that lies under the distribution rights owned by BDL, and our services will not be confined to logistic support".

Shabakah.net General Manager Eng. Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri declared some good news to Internet users in Saudi Arabia. "Our greatest gift to our customers is free browsing of Internet, fully free" he said. "This service is the most daring service of its type in the Kingdom and the Arab World. It comprises all Saudi sites hosted by Shabakah.net and Nashir.net, a huge variety of sites covering social, religious, financial, economic, and women aspects".
